Membership in the Academy is by invitation. Members are chosen for the quality, breadth, and depth of their contributions to Catholic thought, art, and public life—and for their witness to the integration of faith and reason.
The Academy identifies and recognizes scholars and artists who reflect the full breadth and depth of Catholic intellectual and artistic traditions—and who can help guide the tradition forward.
Beyond membership, the Academy awards fellowships and visiting scholarships to support promising young voices in their development, and convenes members each year in a private working conference.
The glory of God is man fully alive; and the life of man is the vision of God.St. Irenaeus of Lyons
The Academy awards fellowships and visiting scholarships to promising young Catholic scholars and artists, pairing them with senior members for mentorship and support.
